Gold Heat Reflective Wrap is an adhesive heat shield made from a metalized polyimide laminated to a light weight glass fiber cloth with a high temperature pressure sensitive adhesive for use in extreme temperature swing environments. Our lightweight, adhesive thermal shielding is easily applied and won’t lift off. It’s minimal clearance and ease of use makes Gold Heat Reflective Wrap a highly effective material for firewalls, fuel cells, engine covers, under hoods, engine compartment, bulk heads, seat bottoms, and anything or area that needs protection from heat.

Why GOLD? Why not any other reflective surface like foil heat tape? Copper? Silver? Glass? Well, Gold states the best reflective qualities and so can reflect away outstanding levels of radiant heat. Our Gold Heat Reflective Wrap Reflective Heat Tape and sheets are capable of reflecting away around 80% of all radiant heat coming it’s way.

When used correctly, our Gold Heat Reflective Wrap can be used to protect intake components and therefore lowering your intake temperatures. Lower intake temperatures create a bigger bang in the combustion chamber and therefore a more powerful and more efficient engine running cycle. Our Gold Heat Reflective Wrap is also vital for ensuring that components such as fuel cells, ECUs, heat shields and bulkheads are working at their optimal without the chance of damage due to excess heat.

Our Gold Foil Tape sheets and tapes come with a self-adhesive layer of specially designed woven glass fibre, this will also provide additional convectional heat protection. The top surface layer is composed of a deep shine gold with no UV degradation.

This blanket can be also customed for your own size and has a very wide range of USES. For example, it can protect the Subaru Racing Levorg’s fuel tank, cockpit, exhaust tunnel and intake pipework to insulate from convectional heat transfer and reflect away radiant heat. Other uses include, swirl pot insulation, master cylinder insulation, or ECU/Electronics insulation. Unlike traditional Gold Heat Tape, the gold heat wrap blanket provides the best of both worlds with insulation and the gold to reflect additional heat away.

Reflective gold surface will reflect away 80% of all radient heat, whilst the woven insulation polymer beneath will protect from the convectional heat transfer. These blankets are designed to protect the components beneath from harmful liquids and debris. Some uses include: exhaust manifolds, bulkheads, radiator heat shielding,etc.
